Fraud & Shipping Protection Policy

At Defense Outfitters, your security and satisfaction are our top priorities. We take multiple steps to protect our customers, minimize fraud, and ensure reliable shipping practices. This policy outlines our approach to order verification, address matching, fraud prevention, and shipping protection.
Billing & Shipping Address Match Policy
To maintain the highest level of security for both our customers and our business:
- We only ship to the billing address associated with the payment method used at checkout.
- This policy applies to all orders, regardless of order value or customer history.
- Orders placed with a shipping address that does not match the verified billing address will be automatically canceled and refunded.
- This measure is in place to protect against unauthorized card usage and to comply with payment processor requirements.
⚠️ Please double-check your billing information before submitting your order. We are unable to override this policy under any circumstances.
High-Value Order Protocols
Orders over $500 or containing restricted items (e.g., automatic knives) are subject to additional security protocols, which may include:
- Signature required upon delivery
- Additional ID verification if requested by our fraud prevention team
- Delayed fulfillment pending manual review
Order Review & Verification
If an order is flagged by our fraud detection system, we may:
- Contact you via email or phone to confirm details
- Request proof of identity or authorization of the payment method
- Cancel and refund the order if we are unable to verify information
Orders not verified within 48 hours may be canceled at our discretion.
Shipping Restrictions & Compliance
To remain in compliance with carrier policies and federal/state laws:
- We do not ship automatic knives via USPS. These will be shipped via UPS or FedEx with proper insurance and tracking.
- We do not ship internationally. Orders are accepted from and delivered to U.S. addresses only.
- We reserve the right to cancel orders to regions or individuals flagged for fraudulent activity or high-risk status.
Insurance & Lost Package Policy
All orders shipped via FedEx or UPS are automatically insured. Orders shipped through USPS are at the buyer’s risk if USPS is selected during checkout.
Photo Proof of Delivery (UPS):
UPS now provides delivery confirmation photos. If your order shows as delivered to the correct address, but is lost or stolen after delivery, neither UPS nor Defense Outfitters can offer refunds or replacements.
Address Change Requests
For security purposes:
- Shipping addresses cannot be changed after an order is placed.
- If an incorrect address was entered, the order must be canceled and refunded. You may then place a new order with the correct information.
Why These Policies Exist
Due to the high value, collectible nature, and legal restrictions of many of our products, these fraud prevention steps are necessary to:
- Protect customers from unauthorized card use
- Ensure lawful delivery of restricted items
- Protect Defense Outfitters from liability and chargeback fraud
We understand that these policies may seem strict, but they are designed to ensure a safer experience for all customers.
